1887 0    Joseph Edmund Traill (Joe) was born in Dublin, Ireland. Son of Edmund Bernard Traill & Gertrude Anne Dickinson.  (See the Dickinson Fly Tree)
1890 July 21 3   0 Eileen Edith Audrey Lawson was born, at 53 Palmerston Road, Dublin, daughter of William Hamilton Lawson (export merchant) & Sarah Patterson Fallows.
1904-1913 17-26   14-23 Joe was a member of the “North Santa Fé” polo team that won the Argentine Open tournament in 1904, 1906, 1908, 1911, & 1913.  (The team w/o Joe also won in 1912 & 1916.)
In 1904: Joe became the youngest player to win the Open at 17 years, 4 months. 18 days.   Today (2025) Joe ranks 3rd youngest after: Benjamin Araya (1980: 17 years, 4 months, 1 day), & Adolfo “Poroto” Cambiaso (2022: 17 years, 0 months, 6 days).
1914 26 23 Joe played polo for Ireland.  Traill family priority: they played first for Argentina; then Ireland, then England.  (As a general observation, Argentine players out-rode their adversaries on faster horses.)
1914 Feb 5  26 23 Audrey’s mother (Sarah Patterson Fallows / Lawson) died at Caltra, Glenageary (Ireland), 56 years old; of abdominal carcinoma (6 months).
1914 Feb 11 26 23 Joe & Audrey were married at St. Paul’s Church, Monkstown parish, Dublin county. Ireland.
They made their home in Argentina, at estancia Chirú (10-15 km. east of San Jorge, Santa Fé prov.).  Joe managed Chirú, which he owned in partnership with his siblings living in England: Agnes, Rafe, & Tom.
1915-1916 27 24 Son Ronald Edmund Traill was born, in Buenos Aires, Argentina.&nbs; He died 6 months later.
1916 Dec 17 28 25 Daughter Audrey Gertrude (Gertie) Muriel Traill was born, Buenos Aires, Arg.
1917 29 26 WW-I: Joe joined the Gunners, but did not see active service.
1918 Nov 9 30 27 Son Anthony (Tony) Traill was born, London, England.
1921 33 30 Daughter Nora Blanche Traill was born. 
1923 35 32 Joe with Johnny Traill & the Miles brothers (David & John), as the “Las Rosas” team, won the Argentine Open.
1926 38 35 Daughter Joan Elizabeth Traill was born.
1931 43 40 Daughter Diana (Dinny) Traill was born.
1939 51  48 Joe coached the “San Jorge” polo team that won the “Copa de la Republica” - the national handicap championship.  Team members: Rudi Boero, Jim Traill, Tony Traill, & Tom Willans. (Jim, Tony, & Tom died in WW-II.).
1940-1942 52+ 49+ Daughter Gertie joined the WAAF in England.  Married George B.P. Hall (RNVR, lieutenant) - He died when his ship (H.M.S. Avenger) was torpedoed & blew up.  Their son was born 20 days later – Joe & Audrey’s first grandchild.
1940+ 52+ 49+ Daughter Nora married Alan Cameron (RCAFVR, navigator).  He died in a flying accident in England.
She served as a nurse at a hospital in London, England.
1944 56 53 Son Tony died in India (RAFVR, Sqd.Ldr.) - most likely a flying accident when returning from New Delhi to his base in NE India.
1946 May 25 58 55 In Argentina, daughter Gertie married F. Malcolm Benitz, a childhood friend.  They had 2 sons.
195+? - Daughter Joan married cousin Anthony Traill in Argentina.  They lived in India and England.  They had 3 children.
1954 67 64 Daughter Nora married C.W.G. (Charlie) Mackinnon, an estancia manager for the Southern Land Co. in northern Patagonia.  They had 3 children.
195+? - Daughter Dinny married D. G. (Sandy) Harvey.  They had 3 children.
1953 66 63 Joe & Audrey  travelled to England.
1955 Mar. 21 68 65 Joe died at Chirú.  He was buried in the British cemetery, Chacarita (Bs.As.), Arg.
- - Chirú: 1955-19xx - managed by Gertie’s husband Malcolm Benitz.
  – 19xx - family corporation created; managed by Dinny’s husband Sandy Harvey.
  – 19yy - Sandy died.  Chirú was sold & the family corp. dissolved.
Abt.1965    75 Audrey moved to Hurlingham, (address: xxx Garay), to be closer to her friends;  (e.g. the Stricklands, formerly of estancia “Las Petacas”, near Chirú).
1971    81 Audrey died in Hurligham & was buried next to Joe in the British cemetery, Chacarita (Bs.As.), Arg.
