Dear Johnnie,
      Thank you so much for your kind letter.  It wasnt an easy decision but I couldn’t bear going slowly downhill after enjoying so much good polo.
Anyway I will be joining the very distinguished ranks of umpires – until, that is, they discover I dont know the rules!
