Benitz & Spouse Ancestor Trees

This is a list of all the ancestor trees on the The Benitz Bull.  We have researched most ancestor trees back to 1800.  However, when we come upon a very common name (e.g. Jane Smith, Macdonald, or William King), unless we are very lucky, it becomes almost impossible to determine where they came from and who were their parents.  Please thank René for all her work.

BENITZ family origins:

• Descendants of Thomas Boenitz (b.1595) – great-grandfather of Lörenz Bönitz.
• Descendants of Lorenz Bönitz (b.1689) – great-grandfather of all Benitz emigrants from Endingen (Baden) to the Americas.

KOLMER family:

• Descendants of Josef Kolmerer – grandfather of Josephine (m. W. Benitz) & Caroline (m. W. Howard).
• Descendants of William HOWARD & Caroline KOLMER

• Descendants of William & Josephine – their children were all born at Fort Ross, California.
• Josephine Benitz b.1852 – married Johan Schreiber (lithographer) of Hamburg, Germany.
• William O. Benitz b.1854 – married Clara E. Allyn (teacher) of Winona, Minnesota, USA.
• Alfred A. Benitz b.1859 – married Olga B. Horner, of Hertfordshire, England.
• John E. Benitz b.1861 – married Marjorie M. Macintosh, of Glasgow, Scotland.
